Guests and speakers at previous DLD Munich conferences include people like Lady Gaga, Sir Norman Foster, Jack Dorsey, Zaha Hadid, Ugur Sahin, Alex Israel, Arianna Huffington, Tony Fadell, Evan Spiegel, Marissa Mayer, Alanis Morrisette, Ai Wei Wei and many others, mostly at a stage in their career where their work has been unknown to the general public.

Steffi’s background is in political sciences and journalism. Since the early days of the Internet in the 1990ies, she has followed developments in the digital world. As Managing Director of DLD, Steffi has established “one of Europe’s most important innovation conferences” according to The Economist as well as numerous topic-focused spin-off formats such as DLD Women, DLD Europe, DLD Campus, DLD Cities and, recently, DLD Sync. Under her leadership, the DLD brand has furthermore expanded with conferences and networking events in other cities. In addition to Munich, also New York, Tel Aviv, Brussels, Singapore, San Francisco, and London have now become regular DLD destinations.

An accomplished leader, Steffi has repeatedly been ranked amongst the 100 Most Influential Women in German Business by German business monthly manager magazine as well as by influential daily business paper Handelsblatt. She has furthermore been identified as number 30 of The 2015 Wired 100 and as one of the 50 Most Inspiring Women in European Tech by inspiring50.com for her success in bringing the international digital elite together at DLD.

Steffi is also an active member of various advisory boards and committees, like the University of Bayreuth, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Zentrum für Kunst und Medien (ZKM Karlsruhe), Biotopia Life Science Museum, and Deutsches Museum.
