Geoff Openshaw is an ersatz foreign policy nerd who decided creating podcasts and influencing public discussion on niche issues was more interesting than writing academic papers on Scottish secession (but he’s forever thankful for his experience obtaining a master’s degree in Nationalism Studies from the University of Edinburgh).
In 2010, he co-founded the TWiM podcast network, where he served as host and editor-in-chief. He sold the podcast in 2023 after totaling over 3 million lifetime downloads from a global audience and is now enjoying a respite from the weekly grind of content production. He has been featured in numerous publications, including Buzzfeed and the Huffington Post.
Additionally, he served as an editor of BLOCK magazine and an author at Talk Android. He continues to write as a contributor to various outlets.
He currently runs a multimillion-dollar marketing and advertising portfolio for public agencies in the United States with Aptive Resources, a prominent government services consulting firm.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Geoff lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Danielle, and their four kids, where they continue their fruitless quest for authentic Mexican food on the East Coast.
